ACCIÓN FARMACOLÓGICA= Pharmacological action: Calmante, venenoso.

COMPOSICIÓN QUÍMICA= Chemical composition: Five new ergostane-related compounds, nicaphysalins A (1), B (2), C (3), D (4) and E (5), were isolated from the fresh whole plants of Nicandra physaloides (Solanaceae). Their structures were established by spectroscopic means. Nicaphysalins D (4) and E (5) had a folmyloxy group at C-22 in the side chain.
